As for your gun, its tight work bro. Very nice. People just hate to hear markers being called rifles. Nonsence to be stupid and smart butt about it though, especialy when your obviously relatively new to the forum and didnt know.

Well ty everyone... ok so its not a "rifle" its a rifle style marker.. lol And yes it is very well balanced
I did take off the suppressor because it made it front heavy.. the target you see there
has those dots for aiming but I can and did make consistent torso and head shots from 112' away
after i was done sighting the scope to match the arc drop of a paintball...
yea that acog scope is in the ops gear catalog for $119 without shipping but I found the same one
for $36 ($51 with shipping) If ya wanna know where PM me...

Nice"rifle" man!. Just kidding on the rifle part. The ACOG is a nice touch. If the Target thingis true, Id be scared to take you on in the field. By working suppressor, what did you mean? Show a vid of the target shooting so we can all be convinced that it really is that accurate.

I usually don't like us-5's either but I must say I utterly impressed! 10/10 rating. But I do have some questions. Where did you buy the mount for the qloader? And does the a5a2 grip fit on the gun or do you have to do work to it it? Can't wait to see the vid and, happy hunting.
S.O.R.T Cleric
Aug 23 2007, 09:04 PM
srry i didn't post sooner.. umm the mount for the q loader is called a cms upgrade kit.. and the a5a2 grip had to have some work done on it to fit perfectly.. umm and the vid. ill have to put a link on here to like a youtube vid or somthing next itme I shoot.. im not sure when ill do it so dont hold your breathe...

Aug 23 2007, 09:10 PM
Nice marker man, I only have two upgrades.
1 A barrel kit! this will help your paint to bore match and will help you get balls on target
2 Hpa, it will make your gun more consistant, putting the shots in a tighter grouping because the +/- on FPS wont be as high.
If you want an old HPA tank I have still good for hydro, It's 47/3000 (yes a small tank) I would let it go for 50 bucks.
Goldensurfboard
Aug 23 2007, 11:22 PM
ya, you should probably upgrade to HPA, seeing as you haven't already. and what do you mean by Co2 remote? i was under the impression that remotes worked with both HPA and Co2!
S.O.R.T Cleric
Aug 28 2007, 06:24 PM
well i just put co2 because i wasn't sure that everyone was familiar with the term "remote"

srry im not interested in the tank because I cant get it filled close to me.. sorry

nice marker but i would take off the bipod
Gernads
Feb 26 2008, 12:00 PM
Very nice, but the bipod really isn't necessary. And that means you might want to remove the suppressor, because it will just make the marker lopsidedly heavy. But overall that is a very nice marker you have there.

Your IMITATION Suppressor looks decent, but you need to stop calling it a working Suppressor or Silencer.
The only way to legally poses a Suppressor device, such as a silencer, in the US is to live in a state that has no regulations against it, you must be 21 years of age or older, and complete the permit process with the ATF. Without this permit and proof of your $200 tax payment it is a Felony. Most don’t care, but don’t take chances, the Feds do take it seriously and a Felony on your record will be a major bummer, especially when you start losing all the rights you take for granted in life just because you thought it looked cool on your paintball marker.
So, if you really want a Suppressor or Silencer type device, especially if you want to advertise it on the forum as a "working Suppressor", do it right. Follow the law and get your permit, first.

If you make a ghetto one yes I imagine it would be. I made one and I know very well you can't suppress a real gun with it if your life depended on it. Swat would hear you a mile away. Given that, it would not be a threatening object.

Yes they are. Some guys who own Class III licenses with legal full auto weapons have them legally.

Supressors that can in ANY way be modified to fit on a real firearm and decrease the muzzle report are illegal. They require a lot of paperwork and documentation to be legal. The only way it can be legal is if it is permanently affixed to and a part of the marker.

There are your two loop holes. Make a Ghetto one that will fail miserably on a real gun. Or make one permanently attached to your marker. Das it. Unless you do the proper paper work.

that's way too much work to skirt a law. Whynot just follow the law like we are supposed to and not make a silencer? That would be the smart thing to do.
No need to make illegal things and try to tweak them so they aren't illegal. Just don't make them in the first place.
Why do you need a silencer in paintball anyways? Maybe i just use quiet markers already, but i don't really see a need for one.

Also, the BATF will find ANY way to make your device work. Even if it just shaves off a few dBs, it is still illegal. It has happened.
Frontier_Bill
Mar 19 2008, 11:32 AM
Discussion of ways to have legal supressors is a bad idea. We don't need the BATF monitoring this site more than they probably already are.

Well It sounds like if that's the case then they would be "headhunting" which is not law enforcement to me but being a menace.
The truth is I did use it. But to continue using it I would have had to clean the inside of the thing and repaint it. So I trashed it.
Honestly, having fired real and very legal firearms, I don't think it would have even shaved even one decibel off of it.
Truth be known, If a cop tried to confiscate the thing, I'd tell him he could have it and wouldn't have to worry about me doing it again. I have no intention of willingly being contrary to the law but I will try to enjoy my freedoms as a citizen to the fullest extent.
As for it being illegal JUST because I called it a suppressor, it's hearsay at best. with the way it was I'm not even sure it could be considered one but I still will not say how I made it. It's best not to in this environment.
[Edit:] By Revenue Ruling 57-34, (I just got curious and looked it up) What I made was not a "silencer" or "sound muffler" or "suppressor" but a cheap imitation at best because of a lack of a very basic feature of a suppressor.
Looks like I'm legal. Glad to hear it.

Yup. You also need a tax stamp from the IRS for one which is how I accidentally found Revenue Ruling 57-34
The place I found it also covers laws on assault weapons transportation, sales, ownership, and suppressor laws as well.
It was very helpful to stumble up on it on Google.
