I hope this is the correct place to post this. please let me know if it might do better somewhere else.

I've been thinking of getting a new chronograph. It will mainly be for tuning my markers, but it may see some use for speed checks while playing in the woods. I currently have one of the little yellow hand held ones. It works but its not always easy to read. The one I have can only display a 2 digit read out, and it can be easy to miss one of the numbers

I found one that looks to be a lot better, and its not that much more money something like $100 vs $70 for the handheld one.

I havent decided on the model yet. they all seem to have some great features, and they run on a 9v battery.

So, I guess what I'm asking is does anyone have any experience with this brand? Is it good or bad? Do they stand up to being transported? If you could let me know I'd appreciate it.

Best chrono on the market.

I would recommend checking ebay for cheeper pricing though.

I forgot to mention that when I go to play in the woods I'll have to lug it around for an unknown distance. The model you suggested is nice. I've used them at commercial fields, but I don't think its designed to be portable.

Well the little yellow handheld ones will be the best portable ones you can buy.

Actually Teddy I'd have to disagree with you on the yellow ones being the best hand-held chrono. I'd recommend the X-Radar chrono. It's made by the same company that made the big red ones that fields have been using for years and it displays all three numbers at once. It also displays bps as well. One of my local fields has one it's very easy to use. The only thing the yellow one has that the X-Radar doesn't is that there's no strap to hook it to your barrel with.

I have a Gamma Master from Chrony and it is great. Since it can measure up to 5000 fps it will easily measure 300 fps. It is not for on the field use. It's great for everything else. The only problem is when people carelessly shoot and hit the rear eye. It will get destroyed if you allow people to hit it much. If you make sure you shoot about 4 inches above you will have no problems. I built a case to protect mine and so it has no problems. I have seen others destoyed by careless shooters.
