So far i have milled off the front grip entirely. For that i used a drimmel and files, didnt take too long.
After that i used the paint stripper in a can. Oh my god....that stuff works. The paint literally comes off sheets.
I put an epoxy to fill the hole. Its currently drying. I'll have pictures up tomorrow.
Next step is to sand down the epoxy and clean up any rough spots in the morning followed by 2 coats of primer.
Then I'll be laying down 2 coats of metallic blue. After that i'll tape out some rough stripes and spay 2 coats of ultra flat black
After everything dries I'm going to outline the blue stripes with gloss white to really make the blue stand out.
The last step will be a coat of matte gloss.
Everything should be finished my wednesday. I hope it come out like i imagine. I will be posting pics along the way

i like what you did with the front grip...are you going to add a foregrip to fit flush with the flatline?

Thanks. I've been debating what to do for months now. I dont really use the flatline right now, I use a J&J. BUT i am looking at making an epoxy type fore grip that will pretty much be permanent. The look I'm going for is something like the A5A2. The grip will be molded onto each receiver half and will extend around the barrel with just enough gap to screw or unscrew the barrel. I'm hoping it works out like I envision it.

Thanks, I think my next design will have the stripes going the length of the gun but inside those stripes will be blue digi camo like the Invert 2008 line. My field name is iceman now so the colors fit. Still in the planning stage.
